Hola Amigos!

I am having a good time in Guanajuato. All the dream plans have been set in motion. I am out several times a week meeting local artists and gathering all their creative atoms in my basket.

I have even been invited to exhibit my own art work here locally, though I declined (what?) Several reasons for that… first one is that I am not legally allowed to earn money from the Mexican economy. That would require a different visa and one that is rarely granted. The train of thought is is any ‘job’ or ‘money making adventure’ should always go to a citizen first and foremost. And only if it can’t be filled by a Mexican should another person from a different country be considered. I guess you can fully say- they are Mexico first when it comes to jobs.

It doesn’t mean it is impossible though. I am just not interested in this right now.

Second, I have no desire to compete (take up space, time away) with Mexican artists. That is the complete opposite of what I am trying to do. I want to in fact make their acquaintance (become their best friend) and become a supporter of their work (be able to pay them so they can pay their house payment kind of money) and bring the most interesting work to you along with their stories.

This sounds way more fun! And if you know anything about me, I am all about being in the place that is considered the most fun. It is pretty much what dictates my life these days.

I plan on introducing you to my point man this week via my stories on Instagram, which I totally keep everyone who cares overly involved in my life! You aren’t there, you should be!

I have been wanting to share more of the property we rented here in Guanajuato (right in the center of Mexico in case you were wondering) and today is the day. I waited until we met with owner this last week because I had a lot of questions to get answered before I could do so intelligently.

My husband and I made this video for you. We are definitely not professionals and I have no desire to learn fancy editing, so you get what you get.

If I were you, I would watch it at 1.5 speed. lol It’s almost 20 minutes long
