I love these ideas, especially the family collage. I’m in my childhood home for two weeks cleaning everything out for an estate sale. Oh, do I have lots of scraps! I’ve just added this idea for a later-in-the-year project. Thanks!
I am a paper collector (some might say hoarder 😂) from way back. Once you start, you see potential in every thing! But I love it! And boy, do I feel you on the idea overload at bedtime. Sometimes I think a creative brain is both a blessing and a curse. But I wouldn't trade it.
This is why I always have a pen and my journal with me. I take it upstairs and downstairs and to up to my studio with me— and I never leave on vacation without it. It’s where all my ideas go so I can sleep.
Paige, you’ve given me so much to ponder here. Let me pick your brain. I have all the letters my daddy sent to my momma during WWII and the Korean Conflict and some of hers to him. Daddy was in the Pacific Theater, Iwo Jima and all of those battles. I even have the map he had showing where each group of men were to be on Iwo Jima. I wish I could do something with them. I’m just stumped. When I leave this world I know they might be tossed.
What a gift you have! If you wanted to created collage art with them, I would of course make copies of them to do so, but I do have a Pinterest board that would give you many great ideas on how to preserve many of them so no one would DARE toss them. https://www.pinterest.com/PaigeMTyler/frames/
I wish I hadn’t packed the fridge paper up in Maryland. I do have a photo of my fridge though. It’s all the best things going on in life in one snapshot
I love collecting odds and end and have decades! Suddenly things I had no use for but couldn’t part with become treasure !!

This would be such a neat thing to do— if you do it I want to see it!

They mostly involve shadowboxes. Check it out.
Thanks so much. I will check out your Pinterest board.
I LOVE these ideas! I’m rethinking all the papers and tidbits I throw away…including the stuff on my fridge.
